Project SALTO is an online interior decoration project for the living and dining areas of a residence in São Paulo, Brazil. Delivered through Studio PASE’s remote Deco Express service, it shows how a considered design process can transform a space from a distance.

The brief focused on improving both the aesthetics and the functionality of the main living areas — the rooms where the household spends most of its time and welcomes guests — within a defined scope suited to a remote engagement.

Designing remotely brings its own constraints: no site visits, and every decision communicated through plans, visuals and clear specification. The studio worked from the client’s photographs, measurements and brief, and structured the project so each stage could be reviewed and approved online.

Working at a distance, the studio carefully selected colours, furniture and accessories to give the space a cohesive, contemporary identity. The palette draws on warm tones and natural materials for an inviting, comfortable atmosphere.

Beyond decoration, the project optimised the layout and circulation of the living and dining rooms, improving the flow between the two and making the space easier and more pleasant to use every day.

Every choice was guided by the client’s own style, preferences and lifestyle, so the finished interior feels personal rather than generic — proof that a remote design service can still deliver a genuinely tailored result.

A remote project lives or dies on process. Without a site visit, every decision has to be communicated precisely through plans, visuals and specification — so the engagement was structured into clear stages the client could review and approve online.

The studio worked from the client’s own photographs, measurements and brief. Reading a space accurately from that material is a discipline in itself, and it is what allows a considered design to be delivered from another continent.

Beyond the decoration, the layout and circulation of the living and dining rooms were reworked, improving the flow between them. A remote scope can still address how a space functions, not only how it looks.

Warm tones and natural materials were chosen to give the rooms a cohesive, inviting identity. Even at a distance, the aim was an interior that feels personal — built around the client’s own style and way of living, not a generic template.

The Deco Express service exists for exactly this situation — an owner who wants a professional result without an in-person project. SALTO is proof that a remote engagement, properly run, delivers a genuinely resolved interior rather than a compromise.

Designing for a client in another country means designing for a different climate, a different way of living and a different set of expectations. The studio worked from the client’s context rather than imposing a European template on it.

The living and dining rooms were chosen as the scope precisely because they carry the most daily use and host the most guests. Concentrating a remote project on the spaces that matter most is what makes a focused engagement worthwhile.

Accessories and soft elements were used to finish the rooms with character. In a remote project these final touches matter especially: they are what turn a correct layout into a space that feels lived-in and personal.

Clear communication was the backbone of the project. Mood boards, plans and specification documents carried every decision, so the client could see exactly what was proposed and approve it with confidence before anything was bought.

A remote engagement also asks the client to be part of the process. By working closely from the brief through to the final selections, the studio kept the result anchored in how the household actually lives, not in an assumed idea of it.

Project SALTO illustrates the international reach of Studio PASE’s online interior design service: a warm, functional and well-resolved home designed for a client in Brazil from the studio’s base between Paris and Dubai.
