Project MOON is the interior design of a luxury fashion showroom in Business Bay, Dubai — a retail space designed to make shopping feel like an experience rather than a simple transaction.

In retail, the interior has a measurable job: to draw people in, to hold their attention and to present the product at its best. The brief was to create a showroom that would express the brand and encourage visitors to stay, explore and return.

The showroom was conceived as an immersive retail environment. Sculptural lighting, soft neutral tones and fluid architectural lines combine to create a distinctive, memorable atmosphere that reflects the brand it houses.

Curved illuminated walls are the signature gesture of the design. They guide movement naturally through the space, frame the product displays and reinforce the brand identity at every turn — turning circulation itself into part of the experience.

Function was resolved with the same care as atmosphere. Lounge seating, fitting rooms and display areas are seamlessly integrated, so the showroom is comfortable and practical for both customers and staff, and easy to operate day to day.

The result is a retail interior that feels modern, elegant and inviting — a space that showcases the product, tells the brand’s story and encourages visitors to linger a little longer.

A retail interior has a job that can be observed: draw people in, hold their attention and present the product well. Every design decision in the showroom was made against those three tests.

The curved illuminated walls do double duty. They give the brand a signature image that a visitor remembers, and they guide movement through the space, leading customers naturally past the displays without the need for signage or direction.

Display, fitting rooms and lounge seating were integrated rather than added, so the showroom is comfortable for customers and practical for staff. A retail space that is pleasant to spend time in is a space people stay in — and time in store is what retail design exists to create.

The neutral palette and sculptural lighting were chosen to flatter the product, not to compete with it. In a fashion showroom the merchandise must be the brightest thing in the room; the architecture is the setting, deliberately restrained.

The showroom was designed to be operated as well as admired — easy to restock, to relight a display, to keep looking sharp. A commercial interior earns its cost over years of daily use, and that longevity was built into the brief.

Business Bay is a competitive commercial district, and a showroom there has to earn attention. The immersive, sculptural interior was the brand’s argument for being noticed and remembered among its neighbours.

Circulation was designed as a narrative. The curved walls lead a visitor through the space in a deliberate sequence, so the brand story unfolds at a considered pace rather than being taken in at a single glance from the door.

Soft neutral tones were chosen so the showroom never competes with the collection it holds. The architecture sets a calm, confident stage; the product remains, deliberately, the thing a visitor looks at.

Retail design is also risk management. A showroom that looks striking but frustrates customers — poor sightlines, awkward fitting rooms, displays that are hard to restock — costs the business every day it operates. Function was resolved so the space works as hard behind the scenes as it does at first sight.

The fitting rooms were given particular care, because they are where a sale is often won or lost. Comfortable, well-lit and private, they were designed as a considered part of the journey rather than an afterthought tucked into a corner.

Project MOON shows how Studio PASE designs commercial and retail interiors in Dubai: balancing brand storytelling, customer experience and operational function to create spaces that work as hard as they look.
